Invernomuto is an artist collective founded in 2003 by Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi. Their work develops through long-term research cycles: Negus (2011–2016) explored the convergence of history, myth, and magic through the complex legacy of Ethiopia’s last emperor, Haile Selassie I. Black Med, launched in 2018 and still active, is an online platform tracing multicultural Mediterranean currents through music.

Since 2023, Triton has been Invernomuto’s current project. Inspired by a real amphibian colony living in rainwater-filled rock basins in Val Trebbia, Italy, since the Bronze Age, Triton continues the collective’s exploration of nonlinear temporality. It aims to create a sculptural object integrating parallel timelines through sound, text, and sensory feedback, enriched by a diverse group of contributors.

This portable, responsive sculpture goes beyond traditional exhibition spaces, requiring new forms of interaction between the institution, the work, and the audience. For quovadis, Invernomuto plans a nocturnal musical performance designed for sleep or semi-sleep, with the option to stay overnight.
